During my time as a reporter, the stories I had published covered everything from the eviction crisis to school choice in Nebraska.
On Aug. 30, Support Our Schools submitted nearly double the number of petition signatures needed to let voters decide on the repeal of school choice in the 2024 election. With a high likelihood of seeing this topic on the ballot next November, here is what Nebraska voters and parents need to know about how this bill might affect their students.

Rising rent costs and a return to pre-pandemic rental normalcy are just a few of the reasons behind the increase in eviction cases in Nebraska, according to local legal experts. The state has seen an increase of nearly 1,400 eviction cases when comparing January through June of 2023 with those months in 2022.
